Tarleton State Wrestling Facility

EXCITING NEWS

We recently closed on a $1.2 million facility in Stephenville. This facility is just 2 miles off-campus and will be home to our wrestling program. It has a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse that is being converted to one of the largest (top 5) facilities in college wrestling. The property also includes a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that will be rented to our athletes.

Recruiting Update

Here is a list of our current recruits coming to Tarleton for the 2024-2025 season. We are excited to continue to build a team of competitive athletes that will help build a championship culture on and off the mat.

Who We Are

Tarleton State Wrestling NCWA & the Texas Collegiate Wrestling Foundation

The Texas College Wrestling Foundation is proud to lead the fight to bring the sport of wrestling for both men and women to the colleges and universities to the great state of Texas. The Foundation is comprised of businesspeople, coaches, and those who both honor and love the sport of wrestling. The Foundation is working to bring Tarleton State a Division-1 Men's and Women's wrestling program, but that will not be our last stop.

National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA)

The NCWA was created to fill a gap in today's wrestling community. Many institutions have lost their NCAA wrestling programs (see: Lost Programs) due to outside influences such as budgetary cutbacks or governmental legislation. Although participation interest among students remains high, many schools have been forced to offer their students fewer opportunities. The NCWA has stepped in to help provide this opportunity to the increasing number of high school seniors searching for continued wrestling competition in college.
